Since 1938, Kiwanis Club of Canby has offered a helping hand to children. We subscribe wholeheartedly to the Kiwanis International motto, “Serving the Children of the World.” Our volunteer and fundraising activities are directed to activities that help young people.
We welcome new members from all walks of life who share our commitment to volunteering, serving our community, and having fun. Our members represent a mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds, and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children. Through unique and innovative service projects, we are “Serving the Children of the World.”
Kiwanis Club of Canby provided food and toys for 532 families and toys for 980 children during the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive in 2025. The entire community came together to help 2,158 children and adults.
How our club serves
Our major volunteer activities and programs start with the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Canby School District and Mulino, and the Kiwanis Kiddie Capers Parade (which opens the Clackamas County Fair). But that’s just the beginning. We also provide support and sponsorship to a wide variety of other projects, including scholarships for high school seniors, sponsorship of Scouting, and mentoring students in Kiwanis service leadership clubs – Key Club at Canby High School and Terrific Kids in Canby elementary schools.

Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Canby's 2026 scholarship recipients!
This year Kiwanis awarded $40,000 in Scholarships to 19 recipients including the Canby Kiwanis Lawrence Castle Scholarship- $5,000 and the Canby Kiwanis George Douglass Memorial Scholarship- $5,000.
Eleven of our wonderful scholarship recipients came to our noon meeting and told us about themselves. These students engaged in many hours of community service, including helping build school in other countries; training and supervising younger children in music or sports; helping their organizations with assistance in their programs and projects; and feeding the homeless. ... Canby Kiwanis Dolly Parton Imagination Library will be at Canby Pride in Wait Park this Sunday June 14th 12-4pm! 🌈
Stop by our booth to learn about our club and register children for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a wonderful program that provides free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, helping inspire a lifelong love of reading.
Dolly Parton has long been a champion of kindness, inclusion, and treating everyone with respect. Those values of literacy, compassion, and community are at the heart of the Imagination Library and align beautifully with the spirit of Pride.
We look forward to celebrating with our community and helping more children discover the joy of books. See you at Canby Pride! ... See MoreSee Less
