Since 1938, Kiwanis Club of Canby has offered a helping hand to children. We subscribe wholeheartedly to the Kiwanis International motto, “Serving the Children of the World.” Our volunteer and fundraising activities are directed to activities that help young people.
We welcome new members from all walks of life who share our commitment to volunteering, serving our community, and having fun. Our members represent a mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds, and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children. Through unique and innovative service projects, we are “Serving the Children of the World.”
Kiwanis Club of Canby provided food and toys for 510 families and toys for 1,100 children during the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive in 2024. The entire community came together to help 2,300 children and adults.
How our club serves
Our major volunteer activities and programs start with the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Canby School District and Mulino, and the Kiwanis Kiddie Capers Parade (which opens the Clackamas County Fair). But that’s just the beginning. We also provide support and sponsorship to a wide variety of other projects, including scholarships for high school seniors, sponsorship of Scouting, and mentoring students in Kiwanis service leadership clubs – Key Club at Canby High School and Terrific Kids in Canby elementary schools.
Today, the Kiwanis Club of Canby sends a huge thank you to our incredible postal workers! Since 2017, you've helped deliver over 75,000 books to local children through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
Because of your dedication, thousands of Canby kids have been able to grow up with books in their homes—building early literacy, imagination, and a lifelong love of reading. We truly couldn’t do it without you!
To show our appreciation, we dropped off donuts this morning as a small token of our big gratitude. 🍩

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and fellow Kiwanian, Larry Castle.
Larry was a longtime member within the Canby Kiwanis Club. His unwavering commitment to service and leadership left a deep and lasting impact on all of us. He led with kindness, lived with integrity, and exemplified the true spirit of Kiwanis in everything he did.
We are grateful for the years we had with Larry and the legacy he leaves behind in our club and community. He will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts are with his family and all who were fortunate to know him. ... See MoreSee Less
