Since 1938, Kiwanis Club of Canby has offered a helping hand to children. We subscribe wholeheartedly to the Kiwanis International motto, “Serving the Children of the World.” Our volunteer and fundraising activities are directed to activities that help young people.
We welcome new members from all walks of life who share our commitment to volunteering, serving our community, and having fun. Our members represent a mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds, and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children. Through unique and innovative service projects, we are “Serving the Children of the World.”
Kiwanis Club of Canby provided food and toys for 510 families and toys for 1,100 children during the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive in 2024. The entire community came together to help 2,300 children and adults.
How our club serves
Our major volunteer activities and programs start with the Kiwanis Canby Community Food & Toy Drive, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Canby School District and Mulino, and the Kiwanis Kiddie Capers Parade (which opens the Clackamas County Fair). But that’s just the beginning. We also provide support and sponsorship to a wide variety of other projects, including scholarships for high school seniors, sponsorship of Scouting, and mentoring students in Kiwanis service leadership clubs – Key Club at Canby High School and Terrific Kids in Canby elementary schools.
Shout-out to Dick's Canby Ford for providing this awesome red Mustang for the Grand Marshals of the Kiwanis Kiddie Capers Parade! Canby thespians Norah Cordill, Isaac Evans, and Carter Reed rode with driver Deb Harman to lead the way to the Fair. #KidsNeedKiwanis... See MoreSee Less
